The Schlagle "Student-Athlete of the Week" Award is presented each week on the Schlagle Sports website to a Student-Athlete in any sport of the current season.
The award goes to a Student-Athlete for their Academic Performance, Character, Citizenship, and Athletic Perfomance in their sport.
Student-Athletes are nominated by their coaches for this award.
Selected to the First team All- League Team in his Junior and Senior Season, Received recognition as the “Wyandotte County Player of the Week” in Fall 2008, Selected to the All-Kansan Team
SPORT: Basketball 3 time Letter winner
Team MVP, Led team in Scoring and also in Assists, All-League recognition. Team Captain in 2008 – 2009.
After graduation Edmond’s plans are to attend college and compete in Track or Cross Country.

Sophomore Shae Pannell has continued to make steady progress this year as a member of the Schlagle Stallions Volleyball team. She began the season as the Junior Varsity Captain but with her consistent improvement throughout the first
part of the season she has elevated her performance to now being a starter on the Varsity as the Setter.
This current school year Shae has also been performing in the classrom having seven A's and two B's and was an Honor Roll student last year.
Shae stated that through her participation in athletics at Schlagle that she has learned "that it takes a good attitude to accomplish your goals and to have success".
The most valuable lesson that she has learned is "that it doesn't just take knowing how to play the sport, it also takes heart and commitment".
Shae is also a member of the Stallions Girls Basketball team and was the starting point guard on last year's freshmen team.
Shae's future plans are to attend college and to major in Law.
