part of the season she has elevated her performance to now being a starter on the Varsity as the Setter.

This current school year Shae has also been performing in the classrom having seven A's and two B's and was an Honor Roll student last year.

Shae stated that through her participation in athletics at Schlagle that she has learned "that it takes a good attitude to accomplish your goals and to have success".

The most valuable lesson that she has learned is "that it doesn't just take knowing how to play the sport, it also takes heart and commitment".

Shae is also a member of the Stallions Girls Basketball team and was the starting point guard on last year's freshmen team.

Shae's future plans are to attend college and to major in Law.
Running in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Basehor Linwood High School at Wyandotte County Park, Edmond finished second in a field of over 50 runners.

Then on the following Saturday,  Edmond and the Cross Country team competed in the St. Thomas Aquinas Cross Country meet at the Johnson County Community College course.  In this meet there were over 20 teams and approximately 800 runners.   Edmond came away with another strong finish, placing 6th in a field of 237 runners.

Head Cross Country Coach Dave Gonzales, stated, “Edmond started off this season great!  He has medaled in both races he has run in and has shown tremendous leadership as our lone senior on the team.  We expect big things from Edmond the rest of the season”.

As a track athlete in the spring, Edmond has focused on running sprint races, the 100 meter dash, the 200 meter dash and 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams.  

Edmond maintains a 3.0 GPA  and is a member of Student Council and the Schlagle Choir.  

The most valuable lesson that Edmond stated that he has learned by being a student-thlete at Schlagle is respect and staying focused on his goals.

After graduation Edmond’s plans are to attend college and compete in Track or Cross Country.

The award  goes  to  a Student-Athlete  for their Academic  Performance, Character, Citizenship, and Athletic Perfomance in their sport.

Although not competing in Cross Country until his senior
year the Schlagle Stallion Cross Country team has found a new star in first year runner Edmond Webster. 

In the first week of the season Edmond has competed in two Cross Country meets and has run his way to two very impressive finishes.
